Solutions To My Choked-Out T-Mobile Modem by rogermaddy

My T-Mobile USB modem has finally totally choked out after 7GB of cumulative usage.
I am looking for solutions to this problem.
Here is one, I hope.
Watch this 5fps, postage stamp-size video.

Janice Maddy lost her keys… one of them was an elevator key……………..
Also, the Acer webcam apparently doesn’t like a low battery. Or maybe it doesn’t like Roger Maddy…………….
Also, it looks like the T-Mobile USB modem has slowed down to a crawl……. like molasses. It worked great for almost 7 GB, then cRASH! And the T-Mobile salesperson said that wouldn’t happen………….

Finally, after I hit 7.35 GB of “cumulative usage” (5 is supposed to be my cap) this morning, I received this:
“Free T-Mobile Message: Due to the amount of data you have used this billing cycle, your data speed will be slowed for the remainder of the cycle.”
My signal strength is running around (give or take ;) ) 62% and -79 dBm, but that’s about where it has been, lately, so maybe it took T-Mobile a while to send me this message. LOL.
Now, the word from the salesperson who sold me the modem was, “People don’t seem to ‘notice’ when it slows down”.
We shall see… ;)

Today marks exactly 2 weeks that I have been trying a 4G USB modem from T-Mobile. So far, Janice and I have used 2.35 GB of bandwidth. The cap is apparently 5 GB per month, but I still don’t know for sure what exactly happens when you reach that cap. I do know that I don’t pay anything for excessive use, i.e. the agreement is for “unlimited” bandwidth, but the rumor is that the speed will “slow down” when you reach the 5 GB limit.
That’s all I have at this time… just the facts, man, just the facts. :)

I’m almost organized! Turning off cable TV and internet today, returning the “box”, etc.
No more cell phone… gone. I hate cell phones. :)
I only need 3 things to be happy:
1) A palm tree.
2) A harmonica.
3) A 4G USB modem.

;)

Have a nice day.
