Notice in this video that my new homemade Bloggie microphone windscreen doesn’t seem to muffle the sound, which is good, since I can just leave it attached to the camera.
What is that sound in the background, though? The refrigerator? My computer?

Getting only one or two video views is no longer fun for me (Jim and/or Janice?). I don’t see any way around this problem other than to shoot half nude women at the mall and chicks in bikinis at the beach. If teenage girls, Orange County housewives, Los Angeles ladies, Hollywood hopefuls, beautiful babes, young, old and everything in between, can’t generate enough video views to keep my interest going, then it’s pretty much over for me.
This is also a good thing for Janice, since she will save lots of money if I don’t have to go look for another more expensive hobby like most men have.
Thank God it doesn’t take much to make me happy.

Watch this video in 2D or 3D by clicking on the “3D” button under the video and selecting your options, e.g., “Turn off 3D”.
If you are using red/cyan anaglyph glasses, be sure to select “Red/Cyan” then “Optimized (Dubois)”.

Originally posted to YouTube on 9/26/2006. Video by Roger Maddy (me). It got so many views so fast, it freaked me out, so I deleted the video. LOL. It is a (mostly) true story, BTW. The beach is actually located on the campus of the Evergreen State College near Olympia, Washington (State).

Speaking from experience… and trust me, I have plenty, I’d like to start off with a few “don’ts” about networking, tagging, etc.
You pretty much get what you ask for with internet bots, e.g. if you spend lots of time in Google searching for things like nudity, sex and pornography, then that’s what the bots will attempt to show you through things like ads. Now the ads on my blog page are Google ads, so I’m going to assume that although you might see ads about hot babes in bikinis, pole dancers in night clubs or teenage girls in short skirts dirty dancing, you most likely won’t see ads that contain nude chicks, any XXX stuff, etc.
Also, if my blog had this kind of content on it, I probably wouldn’t have gotten accepted for carrying the ads, and I’m sure that if I started showing porn and smut, they would quickly remove the ads… I would hope so, anyway, since I have no interest in those kinds of things.
A quick story about content, since we know that “sex sells” more than any other thing on earth… Years ago, I put a video up on YouTube called “Searching For A Nude Beach” or something like that, and it got so many views so quickly that it actually spooked me, so I deleted it. Hey, I was a newbie… LOL. The video was just a funny flic showing me “looking” for a nude beach, and it obviously didn’t show any naked people. :) BTW, I just located all those old videos of mine, and will re-post them as I get time. I found a hard drive that contains just about everything I have done online since the early 2000′s.

So, just be careful out there. On the ‘net, you basically get exactly what you ask for, if you catch my drift. ;)

Heard from someone last night that the original Nerd Bird is on display in the kite museum in Long Beach. Better late than never. LOL. Anyway, I will be trying to find out info, ASAP, and in fact, posting this message to my blog might be a good place to start, since I tag everything for Google.
It would be interesting to see a photo of the kite in the museum. :)
Also, I really do not use “phones” anymore, but I do know how to call “you” from my computer. I have been using a Google app in Gmail, and I think the phone number that you see ends with 8888. My point is, if someone calls you from that number, it might be me. The bad news is you can’t call me back that way. LOL…
