Did everyone understand the deal about those Google ads on the right side of my blog? According to Janice, when she looked at my blog on a computer away from home, she was seeing ads that pertain to the Google searches (or “activity”) on that computer, i.e. the “user” computer. Although I can apparently control some aspects of the ads, and I still haven’t researched that, yet, what people see is stuff that relates to their interests, not mine (the creator of the blog). The ads that I see pertain to the activity on this computer (or whatever computer that I am using at any given time.)
Make sense? Please correct me if I’m wrong…
And for people who don’t know what the ads are all about, they are a potential way for bloggers to make money from people clicking on those ads. Please remember, however, that one of the “rules” is that the bloggers cannot click on their own ads… this is for what should be obvious reasons.
