Anybody remember the Usenet group, rec.kites? LOL. Oh, the stories I could tell. ;)
I just posted my Musical Quad-line Kite Idea video:
http://groups.google.com/group/rec.kites/topics
The first post I ever posted to rec.kites was in the 1990′s, and I accidentally posted an animation… I mean THE animation, i.e. a large binary file. Whoops… and my rec.kites experience quickly went downhill from there… ;)
Anywhoo, the group is long dead, but hey, if anyone wants to go in and lay hands on it and pray for its resurrection or something, let’s go, Buckaroos! ;) I still have that original animation that got me deep into hot water, but I’ll have to dig for it. It’s probably on a floppy disc, somewhere (remember those? ;) ).

This is a video I made on 2/7/2007 about a musical quad-line kite idea.
I still think it is a good idea. ;)
Thanks for watching.

Yup… read it and weep. It is TRUE. God has been talking to me, again. This usually happens to me in the middle of the night. He usually says, “Get up and go pee.” This happened to me again last night!
If you think I’m joking, just imagine what would happen if He didn’t say that!

Now, there’s a few things that “came to me” after I got back in bed, but I honestly cannot say for sure if it was God telling me these things… I’m just being honest, Buckaroos. I guess I will know “later” if these ideas came from God or not. BTW, #4 is, by far, the most exciting, so you might want to read it first. ;)

1) Creative Karaoke.
a) Instead of singing a song, try to convincingly “speak” the words like you would a poem.
b) Listen to a karaoke soundtrack via headphones, then record (or make a video) of you singing the song, i.e. the only thing people will hear is you singing…
c) and so on… ;)

2) 3D Kites.
This is actually an old idea of mine, so I will look and try to find old posts or videos about it. Imagine a bunch of kites in the sky that have stereoscopic 3D graphics on them (probably anaglyph would be easiest), and a group of spectators looking at them via 3D glasses.

3) Musical Kites.
Another old idea. I’ve got an old post about this, too. I will try to find it. Think of kites that actually make “music” somehow. Then, how about a “kite band”, i.e. a group of people flying musical kites together… etc… you know what I mean…

4) Aggressive, Random “Friending”.
When Janice (Maddy) and I were in Facebook, that creepy, evil, weird social networking site that Satan created (;)), I used an aggressive technique of “friending” people that was based on “personal interests”, e.g. music, fitness, 3D, etc. It generated almost 5,870 friends in 6-8 months or so, and AAMOF, it got to the point to where it was “self-generating” and we no longer had to look for friends, i.e. they simply found us, and Janice actually reached the “Facebook limit” soon after that (5,000). :) People were coming in by the bus loads, at that point. ;)
But, I’m not really sure if the idea of using “personal interests” to acquire friends works any better than just using a “random” method… by simply just going out there and aggressively trying to friend anybody and everybody… with the idea that people are people, and _all_ people have lots of things in common.
So, my idea is to just go get ‘em, Buckaroos… anybody and everybody. ;)
Now, why do I want so many friends? Networking. Sharing. Helping. Showing. Etc. Maybe even “selling”. If I have something that is valuable to others, then being in contact with large numbers of “friends” would theoretically make it “easier” to sell something…

Do you dig this?
Hey, I gotta go pee… I’ll be back later. LOL.

Heard from someone last night that the original Nerd Bird is on display in the kite museum in Long Beach. Better late than never. LOL. Anyway, I will be trying to find out info, ASAP, and in fact, posting this message to my blog might be a good place to start, since I tag everything for Google.
It would be interesting to see a photo of the kite in the museum. :)
Also, I really do not use “phones” anymore, but I do know how to call “you” from my computer. I have been using a Google app in Gmail, and I think the phone number that you see ends with 8888. My point is, if someone calls you from that number, it might be me. The bad news is you can’t call me back that way. LOL…
